Cliphi is an AI-powered video editing platform that transforms YouTube videos into viral clips for social media. By using our service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

When you create an account via Clerk authentication, we collect your email address, username, and full name. This information is necessary to provide you with account access and personalized service.
Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription and credits, but we never store your credit card details. All payment information is encrypted and stored by Stripe.
We process YouTube video URLs you provide, record video segments, generate transcripts, and create edited clips. This content is stored temporarily (for 30 days) to deliver our service and enable you to download your clips.
We collect information about how you use Cliphi, including projects created, clips generated, credit usage, and feature interactions. This helps us improve our service and provide you with detailed usage analytics.
If you connect social media accounts (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok), we store OAuth tokens to enable publishing. These tokens are encrypted and used only to publish content on your behalf.
Cliphi uses YouTube API Services to provide its YouTube features. By using these features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
When you connect your YouTube account, we access the following Google user data:
How we use this data: We use your channel information solely to display your connected channel in our dashboard and to publish clips you create to your YouTube channel on your behalf.
How we process this data: When you click Publish (or schedule a publish), we transfer the clip file you created, together with the title, description and privacy status you set in the composer, from our storage to YouTube using your OAuth authorization. Your channel name, profile image and subscriber count are processed only to render your connected-accounts and publishing screens. We do not use Google user data to train AI models, for advertising, or for any purpose other than operating these features.
Storage and retention: Your Google OAuth tokens are encrypted using industry-standard encryption before storage and are deleted when you disconnect your account. Channel metadata (name, image URL, subscriber count) is refreshed from YouTube regularly so that what we display stays current, is retained only while your account is connected, and is deleted when you disconnect.
Sharing with internal parties: Cliphi is operated by a small team; access to systems holding Google user data is limited to the operator for running and supporting the service. We never sell Google user data and never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Sharing with external parties (service providers): Google user data is handled by the service providers that host and operate our service, each processing it solely on our instructions to operate Cliphi:
Our AI providers (e.g. OpenAI, Google Gemini) and transcription providers process video content you submit for clip generation; they do not receive your Google user data (your tokens, email, or channel information).
Cliphi's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revocation: You can disconnect your YouTube account at any time from your account settings, which will delete your stored OAuth tokens and channel metadata and revoke Cliphi's access grant at Google. In addition to Cliphi's own settings, you can revoke Cliphi's access to your data at any time via the Google security settings page.
