# Unsupported or invalid link

If the link box turns red and asks for a different link, the one you pasted is not one Cliphi can use. Here is how to fix it.

If you paste a link and it turns red with a message like "Paste a YouTube,
TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Kick, Pinterest, X, Facebook, or Google Drive video
link," Cliphi cannot use that link. It is usually a quick fix.

## Common reasons, and the fix

- **It is from a site Cliphi does not support.** Cliphi works with YouTube,
  TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, Kick, Pinterest, X, Facebook, and Google Drive. If
  your video is somewhere else, download it and
  [upload the file](/help/upload-your-own-video) instead.
- **It is a playlist, channel, or profile.** Cliphi needs one single video, not a
  whole page of them. Open the exact video you want and paste that link.
- **It is a YouTube Studio link.** Those are for managing your channel, not
  watching. Open the video the normal way and copy its public link instead.
