# Processing is taking a while

After you start, Cliphi loads your video, watches it, and finds the clips. Here is what is normal and what to do if it feels stuck.

After you start a project, Cliphi loads your video, watches it, and finds the best
clips. On a long video this takes a few minutes. Here is what is normal, so you
know when to wait and when something is actually wrong.

## What's normal

- **The status changes as it goes.** You will see it move through loading your
video, watching it, and finding the best clips.
- **Clips show up one at a time** as they are found, so you do not have to wait
  for all of them.
- **You can leave and come back.** Your project keeps working while you are away,
and your clips will be waiting when you return.

## If it feels stuck

A long video simply takes longer, most of the wait is Cliphi getting through the
whole thing. The "finding the best clips" step does not show a percentage, so it
can look frozen even when it is working away. Give it a few minutes before you
worry.

## If you want to stop

Tap the **X** next to the progress to stop. Any clips it already found stay, so
you will not lose those.

## Still not working?

If it stops with an error, it is often about credits. Check your balance on the
**Usage** page and top up if you are low. See [How credits work](/help/how-credits-work).
